BIG PICTURE:
Changing Lives Productions is seeking an Audience Insights & Growth Lead to join our growing Data & Insights team. Reporting to the Head of Audience Development & Insights, this role will play a critical role in shaping and accelerating YouTube growth through creative insights, data-driven experimentation, and strategic execution.

You will act as a growth hacker, identifying, testing, and scaling new opportunities to drive views, revenue, and audience expansion. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, analytics, and creative, partnering closely with content, production, and platform teams to inform decisions that meaningfully impact performance.

The ideal candidate is curious, forward-thinking, and highly collaborative, with a strong instinct for both creative storytelling and analytical rigor. This is not a channel management role, nor is it suited for a purely data science background. You must be equally comfortable with performance analysis and creative problem-solving.


WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Own channel-level performance reporting, delivering daily, weekly, and monthly insights that clearly explain the why behind results.
  • Analyze audience retention to identify key engagement and drop-off moments, translating findings into creative recommendations.
  • Conduct competitive and ecosystem research to identify emerging strategies, formats, and opportunities.
  • Own analysis and readouts of A/B tests across thumbnails, titles, intros, and creative formats, synthesizing learnings into clear, actionable takeaways.
  • Go beyond surface-level metrics to uncover audience patterns, viewing behavior, and performance drivers.
  • Deliver both analytical and creative insights that inform decision-making across content, production, and platform teams.
  • Identify, test, and scale strategies to grow views, revenue, and audience across platforms, with YouTube as the primary focus.
  • Bring forward evolving platform best practices, updates, and trends to accelerate growth.
  • Participate in content ideation, contributing both creative instincts and data-backed perspectives.


WHAT YOU HAVE:

  • 5+ years of experience in YouTube or social video strategy, audience development, or social insights within media, entertainment, or digital content. Experience working directly with creators is a strong plus.
  • Proven track record of driving measurable growth through a combination of data analysis, experimentation, and creative strategy.
  • Expert-level knowledge of YouTube Analytics and the broader YouTube ecosystem, with the ability to independently pull data and translate insights into clear creative and strategic actions.
  • Strong balance of analytical rigor and creative thinking, using both to inform decision-making and experimentation.
  • Highly proactive, innovative, and comfortable operating in test-and-learn environments.
  • Hands-on experience designing, analyzing, and synthesizing A/B tests across creative elements (ideas, thumbnails, titles, intros, editing styles, etc.).
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills (VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, pivot tables, data visualization), capable of running independent analyses.
  • Hands-on experience A/B testing creative assets (ideas, thumbnails, titles, intros, editing styles, etc.).
  • Bonus: Experience with the YouTube API, social listening, paid media, or campaign management
