  • Handle all aspects of personal injury cases, including case evaluation, legal research, drafting pleadings, discovery, and trial preparation.
  • Communicate regularly and compassionately with clients regarding case status, medical treatment, and legal strategy.
  • Conduct negotiations with insurance adjusters, opposing counsel, and third parties to achieve favorable settlements.
  • Represent clients in mediations, depositions, hearings, and trials in North Carolina state courts.
  • Supervise and collaborate with paralegals, legal assistants, and support staff to ensure timely and effective case progress.
  • Develop case strategies tailored to each client’s unique circumstances and goals.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, case notes, and file management in accordance with firm procedures and ethical standards.
  • Participate in marketing, community outreach, or referral-building efforts as needed.
  • Requirements
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in North Carolina (in good standing).
  • 2+ years of experience in personal injury, civil litigation, or insurance defense preferred (newer attorneys with strong interest in PI will be considered).
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and advocacy skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines with attention to detail.
  • Empathetic and client-focused approach, with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Trial experience or strong desire to develop courtroom experience a plus.
