Associate Systems Engineer
This role provides 3rd level support to all RFA Clients and RFA systems. Support areas include all Client and RFA computer infrastructure. In addition, this role is responsible for organizing highly complex activities for IT development, project coordination, implementation, and maintenance of technology project initiatives.
Responsibilities
Supporting Severs, Active Directory, Exchange, and handling issues with windows based servers after server updates.
Ability to provide updates and documentation as requested.
Work directly with vendors on third party server/software deployment, upgrades and patches.
Attend meetings and gather requirements relating to new projects such as onsite infrastructure deployment, relocations, cloud provisioning etc.
Comfortable working with Microsoft Windows Servers and identifying and resolving issues with Exchange, Active Directory, Citrix, File Servers, Database servers
Perform Post Maintenance checks, to ensure that all services are available, and functioning correctly.
Tracing errors in Microsoft event logs
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent level of experience.
Good understanding of existing network programs and capabilities.
Very strong communication skills
Skilled in technical crisis management.
Ability to interface and communicate directly with clients
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving expertise
Experience with scripting in PowerShell
Experience with Citrix, terminal services, remote access technologies.
5-6 years of hands-on experience configuring and supporting Microsoft operating system based servers
Knowledge with:
Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy Administration
Virtualization: VMware
Microsoft Exchange 2013, 2016 and Office 365
Windows server 2008R2 - 2019
1-2 years of hands on experience: With Cloud Technologies AWS or Azure (preferably both)
Nice to Have
Comfortable working with monitoring tools such as LogicMonitor, Connectwise Automate, Solarwinds NPM, Datadog, or Nagios
Basic understanding of SQL and querying MySQL, Microsoft SQL, or Oracle databases
Knowledge of additional programming languages a plus (python, javascript, C#, etc.)
