The Technology Platform team is seeking a highly motivated and capable Associate Scientist II with strong expertise in molecular biology, biochemistry, and immunoassay technologies. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in quantitative proteomic or genomic assay development, and strong data analysis and analytical troubleshooting skills, along with a working knowledge of programming for data processing or automation.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, execute, and manage the development of cutting-edge immunoassay-based protein quantification technologies, leveraging Alamar’s proprietary platforms.
• Manage multi-disciplinary continuous improvement from conception to conclusion. Optimize assay workflows and reagents to ensure reliability, sensitivity, and scalability for biomarker quantification.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and implement automated assay protocols, facilitating streamlined and robust procedures.
Qualifications
• Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Chemistry, or related field with 2+ years of industry experience; or M.S. with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Deep knowledge of molecular (PCR, qPCR, NGS) and immunoassays development.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis and data tools (e.g., R, JMP, Python) and using data analysis frameworks to interpret high throughput datasets and uncover actionable insights.
• Exceptional analytical problem-solving capabilities paired with systematic approaches and meticulous attention to details to tackle complex technical challenges.
• Familiarity with protein purification and analytical techniques such as SDS-PAGE, Western blot, UV-Vis, and FPLC.
• Strong technical writing and documentation skills. Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records, protocols, and reports.
• Excellent communication skills to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated independence with a self-motivated, proactive approach and a positive “can do” attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
• AI-related research experience.
• Experience with laboratory automation or liquid handling systems.
• Proficiency in Benchling.
The base salary range for this full-time position is $95,000 - $115,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The ranges displayed on each job posting reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries but are subject to change if the leveling of the role is adjusted.
