Fingerpaint Medical is seeking an experienced Associate Scientific Director to join the team!
Position Requirements 
  • Education: PhD in life sciences or PharmD
  • Experience: ≥ 3 years professional medical writing experience in a scientific communications agency
Primary Responsibilities 
Demonstrates behavior expected of a professional member of the organization, including but not limited to:
  • Independent and accurate medical writing on a variety of medical communication projects which execute on the medical strategy 
  • Provide strategic writing support for publication and medical communication plans 
  • Attend scientific/client meetings and provide pre- and post-meeting materials as needed 
  • Verbal and written internal communication (eg, project status) and external communication (eg, clients and authors) 
  • Mentor junior staff, providing content review 
  • Participate in providing project support input such as scheduling and prioritizing tasks 
  • Contribute to defining solutions to client challenges and facilitate organic growth in accounts 
  • Contribute to new business development as needed 
  • Willingness to travel (~15%)

  • Expertise in multiple therapeutic areas
  • Understand marketing strategies and able to contribute to development of medical communication plans
  • Strategic thinking with ability to contribute to custom solutions for client challenges and drive organic growth
  • Excellent work product requiring minimal internal review
  • Demonstrable experience with providing scientific direction and content review
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to facilitate client/author interactions and strategic conversations related to project and account asks
  • Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and reference management software (eg, Endnote, Reference Manager)
