We are a rapidly growing team of more than 50 passionate people building cutting-edge persuasion technology. We power breakthroughs in persuasion by helping strategists better understand the people they’re aiming to move — not just how they look, but how they think. We then give strategists the ability to scientifically test their messages at a radically accessible cost to find the ones that move people the most.

Grow Progress is seeking an Associate, Project Success, to help deliver on that mission at scale.

Your Role

As an Associate on our Project Success team, you will be an essential contributor to the day-to-day delivery of Grow Progress’s survey products. You’ll develop an understanding of customer needs and deliverables, working directly with our data science, product, engineering, and client-facing teams to ensure we exceed their expectations. You will own a defined set of operational and project-based responsibilities: building expertise in how our testing products work, mastering the systems and workflows that enable them, and contributing to the documentation and knowledge base that keep our team running efficiently.


You will work closely with the Team Lead and with Senior Associates, building upon your project management skills, survey programming, project monitoring, market research, and client deliverables. This role operates in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. During peak periods such as election season, on-call rotations may include evening or weekend availability.


Who We’re Looking For

As part of our team, you will: 

  • Utilize our proprietary software to create and manage research surveys as an individual contributor within our Project Success Team.

  • Develop a robust understanding of the public opinion research industry and how Grow Progress can solve challenges customers face.

  • Successfully run, monitor, and troubleshoot a multitude of survey projects concurrently, while ensuring a high level of quality across all studies.

  • Proactively identify and address potential scope or timeline changes, communicating clearly to stakeholders while working collaboratively with your Project Success team to meet client deadlines and expectations. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (such as sales, client success, research strategy, data science, and product) to produce clear deliverables that realize client expectations, ensure seamless project execution, and inform continued product development.

  • Build institutional knowledge by documenting project best practices and building upon our knowledge base.

  • Everything else. It’s a startup!

Requirements

You’ll bring the following skills and experience:

  • 1-2 years of professional experience and/or a degree in a relevant field such as political science, business, psychology, or a related field.

  • Exposure to or a genuine interest in public opinion research, survey methodology, or the market research industry.

  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks and maintain quality standards.

  • Clear, strong written and verbal communication skills - you can keep stakeholders informed and escalate issues appropriately. 

  • Proactive and solutions-oriented mindset, anticipating needs and solving problems collaboratively. 

  • Ability to operate with some oversight, use available resources to inform your work, and seek guidance when appropriate.

  • U.S. work authorization.

  • Progressive values and an interest in politics.


You have some of the following bonus skills:

  • Knowledge of best practices in survey design and/or political campaigns

  • Experience programming and designing surveys in platforms such as Alchemer, Qualtrics, and/or SurveyMonkey

  • Comfort working in Slack-heavy, fast-paced team environments

  • Data literacy and Excel or Google Sheets experience


Hiring Process

  • Phone Screen (~30 minutes): This is a short interview with our Director of People to answer behavioral and logistical questions, and a chance for you to ask questions about the position and the company.

  • Experience Interview (45-minute interview): This will be an opportunity to share more about your professional background and the experience you have to step into this role. 

  • Behavioral Interview (50 minutes): This step is a panel interview with team members and cross-functional peers, during which all candidates will be asked the same ~10 questions.

Compensation: $65,000 - $75,000 annually, plus equity in a fast-growing startup.  Grow Progress offers a wide range of benefits to employees, including 100% company-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) program with employer match up to 4%, unlimited time off for vacation, $1,300 annual work from home reimbursement, generous sick time, and 12 weeks of paid leave for new parents.
