Associate Product Manager - Decorative Lighting

Coleto Brands, parent Company of Progress Lighting and Kichler, is seeking to fill an Associate Product Manager, Decorative Lighting. The ideal candidate will be the data architect for our decorative lighting portfolios. You will transform raw market data, sales velocity reports, and supply chain metrics into actionable insights that drive the roadmap for Progress Lighting and Kichler. This role is less about picking finishes and more about proving why a specific finish will maximize ROI based on historical performance and market trends. To be successful in this role, you will need strong analytical skills, advanced Excel, data‑viz capability, and solid financial understanding—plus the ability to turn data into clear, actionable insights while collaborating across teams.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Analytical & Data Responsibilities

  • Maintain and analyze performance dashboards for the decorative product category, tracking key KPIs such as sell-through rates, GMROI, and inventory turn to support data-driven decisions.‑through rates, GMROI, and inventory turn to support data-driven decisions.
  • Perform competitive benchmarking, including teardown pricing analysis, to compare product features, pricing, and value propositions against key competitors and ensure competitive price-to-value alignment.
  • Support forecasting processes by collaborating with Supply Chain to provide demand signals informed by seasonal trends, market indicators such as housing starts, and promotional calendars—helping prevent stockouts of high velocity SKUs.‑outs of high‑velocity SKUs.
  • Conduct price elasticity modeling to evaluate the impact of pricing changes across channels (e‑commerce, electrical distribution, etc.) and protect margins amid cost fluctuations in freight or materials.

 

Skills and Experience:

Technical Skills

  • Advanced Excel expertise, including proficiency with VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Power Query, Pivot Tables, and complex data modeling.
  • SQL knowledge for extracting and manipulating data from ERP systems (basic to intermediate preferred).
  • Data visualization experience using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Google Looker Studio, with the ability to create intuitive dashboards and reports.

Analytical & Financial Acumen

  • Strong understanding of key financial concepts, including COGS, landed cost, contribution margin, and profitability levers.
  • Ability to interpret large datasets, identify trends, and deliver insights that influence product lifecycle decisions.
  • Experience applying analytical frameworks such as elasticity analysis, SKU rationalization, and competitive comparison.

Collaboration & Process

  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Product Development, and Category Management teams.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to ensure high-quality, accurate data throughout product workflows.
  • Effective communication skills to translate complex data insights into recommendations for both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Travel requirements: 10-15% domestic travel expectations (no international travel)
