Job Summary:

In this role, you are expected to lead the plant quality for the Greater Noida facility of Avery Dennison (India) Private Limited.  As a plant quality leader, you will have  the overall responsibility of leading Plant quality, implementation of  Quality policies, procedures and systems to ensure products & services meet or exceed internal & external customers expectations. For this position, you need to have an eye for identifying proactive opportunities for quality improvements, excellent problem solving skills and influencing skills to work with cross functional teams. We are looking for a senior level person who can take up larger responsibilities of leading India Quality in a horizon of 2 -3 years.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality control - Ensuring availability of raw materials & product specifications, In-coming, In-process inspection/testing, in case of non conformance, raise deviations and communicate to the stakeholders, support liquidation of non confirming inventories, maintenance, calibration & budgeting of testing  equipment/ laboratory consumables, ensure COA’s to the customer
  • Compliance - Plant quality audits , QMS internal audits and support external audits and actions on the same 
  • Supplier, OEM & Toller Quality Management - Raise supplier / OEM / Toller claims in supplier Quality Management system and collaborate with Supplier quality engineer and procurement team for consistent product/RM quality
  • Cross Functional Collaborations - Collaborate with commercial, customer care, Technical Services, R&D, Production, Supply chain, Logistics , product management & Procurement teams for product quality improvements, problem solving & customer complaint resolution. Participate in MDI, MWI & MMI meetings with different stakeholders.
  • Customer Complaint resolution - Timely investigation of customer complaints, facilitating root cause analysis & corrective/preventive actions with stakeholders, preparing RCA / CAPA reports for the customers, visiting customers for complaint resolution. 
  • Monitoring & reporting - Monitor and report Plant Quality KPI’s & provide regular reports to the stakeholders, Analysis of customer complaint data and facilitating quality improvement projects with the cross functional team.
  • People management - Identify training & development needs of the plant quality team and provide the same. Set goals for the plant quality team and monitor the same. Ensure optimal utilization of the resources, with minimum extra working hours 
  • Create a culture of Continuous Improvements- Promote a culture of continuous improvement across the organization, through trainings, mentoring and coaching using Six Sigma methodologies like Process mapping, FMEA, and statistical methods (Control charts, process capability studies)
  • Facilitating Continuous improvement projects - Identify opportunities for quality improvement and facilitate Kaizens / Quality improvement projects
  • Data Analytics - Be able to create dashboards/ Trend analysis using Business Intelligence (BI) tools like Looker Studio

MIS:

  • Weekly / Monthly Quality  KPI’s
  • Trending & analysis of defect trends and giving timely inputs to take corrective/preventive actions 
  • Monitoring progress of KPIs against set targets 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 8-12 years of experience in leading plant quality in manufacturing industry, preferably in printing / packaging industry
  • Strong Analytical, Documentation and problem solving skills
  • Strong collaborative skills, communication skills and a team player
  • Engineering Graduate, Preferably in Mechanical / Chemical engineering discipline from reputed institute / University
  • Certified Lean Six Sigma Green/ Black Belt from a reputed certification agency
  • Certified Lead auditor (ISO 9001:2015)
