Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Salesforce Architect with deep expertise in Salesforce Field Service (FSL) to design, govern, and deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing field service solutions. The architect will define end-to-end Salesforce architecture, lead complex implementations, and ensure alignment with enterprise standards and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Salesforce Architecture & Solution Design

  • Define end-to-end Salesforce architecture for Field Service implementations
  • Design scalable solutions using Service Cloud, Field Service Lightning, Experience Cloud, and platform capabilities
  • Establish architectural standards, design patterns, and best practices
  • Ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, security, and compliance requirements

Salesforce Field Service Expertise

  • Architect solutions leveraging Salesforce Field Service, including:
    • Work Orders, Service Appointments, Assets, and Entitlements
    • Scheduling, Optimization, Dispatcher Console, and Emergency Workflows
    • Skills-based routing, Service Territories, and Operating Hours
    • Field Service Mobile App configuration and offline capabilities
  • Design complex scheduling and optimization strategies for large technician workforces
  • Enable asset-centric service models and preventive maintenance use cases

Technical Leadership & Governance

  • Lead and mentor Salesforce developers, admins, and consultants
  • Review solution designs, configurations, and code for quality and compliance
  • Drive architectural governance through design reviews and documentation
  • Resolve complex technical issues and performance bottlenecks

Integration & Data Architecture

  • Design and oversee integrations with ERP, Inventory, IoT, GIS, and third-party scheduling systems
  • Define integration patterns using REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events, Change Data Capture, and Middleware (MuleSoft preferred)
  • Architect data migration and data quality strategies
  • Ensure data security, sharing, and compliance across integrated systems

Automation, Customization & Performance

  • Architect automation using Flows, Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Validation Rules
  • Optimize system performance for high-volume work orders and mobile users
  • Define strategies for bulk processing, error handling, and monitoring

Agile Delivery & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and business stakeholders
  • Provide architectural input during backlog grooming, sprint planning, and release planning
  • Translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language
  • Support UAT, go-live, and post-production stabilization

Security, Compliance & Release Management

  • Design Salesforce security model including profiles, permission sets, role hierarchy, and sharing rules
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise and regulatory standards (e.g., SOX, GDPR, HIPAA where applicable)
  • Define CI/CD strategy and DevOps best practices using tools like Copado, Gearset, or Salesforce DevOps Center

 

Salesforce Technical Skills

  • Deep expertise in Salesforce Service Cloud and Field Service Lightning
  • Strong hands-on experience with Apex, LWC, SOQL, Flows, and Salesforce APIs
  • Experience with Salesforce mobile and offline architectures
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce limits and performance optimization

Architecture & Domain Skills

  • Proven experience architecting large-scale Field Service solutions
  • Strong understanding of field service business processes: dispatching, workforce management, inventory, and asset servicing
  • Experience with multi-org, multi-cloud Salesforce environments

Soft Skills

  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to influence architectural decisions across business and IT teams
  • Experience working in global, distributed Agile teams

 

Preferred Qualifications & Certifications

  • Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) or progress toward CTA
  • Salesforce Certified Field Service Lightning Consultant
  • Salesforce Certified Service Cloud Consultant
  • Salesforce Certified Integration Architecture Designer
  • Experience with industries such as Utilities, Manufacturing, Medical Devices, Telecom, or Energy

This is a hybrid position, selected candidate is expected to be in our Atlanta office 1-2 days weekly
