About the Role:
We’re looking for a strategic, results-oriented operational leader to drive TodayTix Group’s core supply operations. You will be accountable for how events are configured, supported, and scaled across our platforms.
The Associate Director operates at the intersection of people leadership, systems thinking, and cross-functional partnership. This role owns the operational models, workflows, and standards that enable Supply Operations to perform reliably as volume, partner diversity, and product complexity increase. You will partner closely with Product, Data, and CX to improve throughput, shorten setup and response cycles, and evolve systems that scale without increasing manual lift.
This role is suited to an experienced operator who can hold clear accountability, navigate ambiguity, and make durable decisions about how work gets done - including defining standards, guardrails, and operating models that directly shape execution quality and speed. You will lead managers, set and sequence execution priorities to ensure timely, reliable delivery, and ensure Supply Operations remains effective across a wide and growing set of ticketed products, partner models, and event formats.
Please note: This is a full-time position and qualified candidates must be based in the greater New York City area. We encourage collaboration by working a minimum of 2 days per week in the office, while also offering flexibility for employees to choose where they work for the rest of the week.
What Success Looks Like:
Reliable, Scalable Operations:
Clear service levels, quality standards, and escalation paths are defined and upheld across Supply Operations.
Setup cycles and response paths are actively managed through measurable SLAs and operational metrics.
Tooling, workflows, and documentation reduce manual effort and rework, enabling faster, more predictable execution at scale.
Performance issues are identified early through data and feedback loops, and addressed through durable process or system changes rather than ad-hoc fixes.
Automation & Intelligent Improvement:
Automation, system enhancements, or AI-assisted tools are proactively identified, prioritized, and advanced to reduce manual effort, error rates, and operational risk.
Improvements are evaluated against clear success criteria and advanced only where they materially improve execution.
Cross-Functional Partnership:
Supply Operations operates as a clear, reliable counterpart to Product, Partnerships, and CX with well-defined inputs, outputs, and decision boundaries.
Risks, constraints, and tradeoffs are surfaced early, with operational context and data used to inform priority and execution decisions.
Team Strength:
Managers are coached to run predictable, well-instrumented operations, with clear expectations around quality, priority, and accountability.
ICs have clarity on priorities, feedback tied to measurable outcomes, and access to knowledge resources and repeatable onboarding that support scale.
What You’ll Do:
Own end-to-end operational outcomes for core areas of Supply Operations, with accountability for execution quality, speed, and scalability.
Work closely with peers across Supply Operations to align on standards, practices, and priorities, supporting consistent execution across markets.
Translate strategic priorities into concrete operational plans by sequencing work and allocating resources to ensure timely, reliable delivery.
Identify and eliminate sources of operational drag, including unnecessary handoffs, rework, and manual steps.
Identify and address systemic issues across event configuration, integrations, inventory management, and partner support - balancing short-term fixes with longer-term structural improvements.
Make clear, defensible operational decisions across a variety of partner types, sales models, and event formats.
Partner with Product and Data on tooling improvements, dashboards, and workflow enhancements that materially improve execution.
Define, evolve, and enforce SOPs, playbooks, and onboarding standards that support scale and consistency.
Monitor operational metrics, QA trends, and feedback loops, using data to diagnose issues and drive corrective action.
Coach managers and guide specialized or technical ICs, reinforcing accountability, quality standards, and speed of execution.
We’re Looking for Someone With:
5–8+ years of experience in operations roles supporting complex, time-sensitive products or services in a tech-enabled environment.
Proven ability to own complex operational domains and improve them over time.
Strong systems thinking and comfort operating in ambiguity.
Experience partnering closely with Product, Engineering, or Data teams.
Clear, effective communication skills, particularly during change.
Comfort owning operational metrics and performance signals.
Demonstrated experience building and optimizing operational workflows, automations, and reporting using modern support, collaboration, and project management tools (e.g., Slack, Monday.com, Zendesk, or similar).
Experience working in ticketing platforms and/or discovery platforms such as Tessitura, Spektrix, AudienceView, and Fever preferred.
A pragmatic, collaborative leadership style.
Experience across live events, arts, entertainment, sports, or festival environments is a plus.
