As Director of Product Design, you are a world-class professional who will play a pivotal role in leading client design initiatives from concept to delivery, partner with multidisciplinary teams across product, engineering, strategy, and data science, and ensure the design output exceeds expectations—both visually and functionally. 

You’ll manage a growing team of product designers, coach client teams, and work directly with senior stakeholders to align on vision, scope, and execution. You’ll help evolve Blend’s design practice, contribute to our thought leadership in experience innovation, and champion Ai-first design methods. 

What You’ll Do 

  • Design Leadership: Define and elevate the product design strategy across Blend360’s client engagements. Champion Ai-first and human-centered design methods and ensure it integrates seamlessly with project delivery. 

  • Client Partnership: Act as a senior advisor to clients—translating user needs and business goals into design opportunities. Present to and influence executive stakeholders with clarity and confidence. 

  • Team Management: Mentor and grow a talented team of designers. Foster a culture of craft excellence, constructive critique, and cross-functional collaboration. 

  • Executional Excellence: Oversee design deliverables from early concepts through to polished interfaces, prototypes, and implementation guidance. Bring a systems-thinking mindset to every engagement. 

  • Process Development: Help evolve Blend360’s design methodologies, playbooks, and tools. Build repeatable, scalable practices that support hybrid consulting and product development models. 

  • Innovation & Growth: Contribute to business development efforts, including proposal writing, pitch work, and shaping new design-driven offerings. Stay at the forefront of emerging design and AI trends. 

 

  • 10+ years in digital product design with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role. 
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design for complex platforms, services, or experiences. 

  • Expertise in user research, UX/UI design, interaction design, and prototyping. 

  • Proven success leading design in cross-functional teams—working closely with product managers, data scientists, and engineers. 

  • Experience in consulting, agency, or hybrid client service/product roles. 

  • Strong business acumen—understand how to connect user needs to viable business outcomes. 

  • Passion for team development, emerging technology, and operational scaling of Ai-first processes. 

  • Excellent storytelling and communication skills. 

  • Experience working in AI/ML, data platforms, or highly technical environments is a plus.
