Work Model: This is a 100% on-site role at our Tempe office, Monday through Friday.

About the team and position

Carvana’s Marketplace division powers our B2B offerings, including our $2B Sell to Carvana and Carvana Wholesale businesses, plus our ADESA auctions. We’re looking for a strategic and analytical leader who blends data-driven rigor with sharp intuition to grow buyer demand and retention in these spaces.

In this role, you’ll design and scale digital marketing and engagement across web, app, email, SMS, and push using cutting-edge technology. Your work will directly impact wholesale business metrics by making it easier — and more trusted — for customers to engage and transact.

You’ll work in a collaborative, fast-moving environment, turning high-level business opportunities into solutions to launch, test, and scale quickly.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading the development of the marketing budget for Carvana's rapidly growing markets and diverse marketing channels, including search marketing, social media, and YouTube, while directly owning the profit and loss responsibilities.
  • Designing and executing A/B tests on different marketing channels, and creative elements of campaigns.
  • Managing and mentoring junior members of the quantitative marketing team.
  • Analyzing large data sets in Excel, SQL, Python or similar to actively monitor campaign performance and identify opportunities for top-line growth and/or efficiency gains.
  • Building and informing the development of dashboards built with Tableau, Excel, or similar to communicate marketing performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Regularly updating the Carvana executive team on marketing performance and strategy.
  • Managing relationships with critical business partners like Google, Facebook, and media buying agencies.
  • Collaborating with the Brand and Data Science teams to ensure alignment with Carvana’s creative strategy and to leverage the full extent of our internal analytics capabilities.
  • Run competitive analyses to place smart bets and out-innovate incumbents.
  • Designing and identifying marketing levers to retain, reactivate, and further monetize digital users.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What you should have

  • Quantitative undergraduate degree in fields such as math, statistics, engineering, computer science, or business analytics with a strong academic record.
  • Omni-channel product or marketing experience (web, mobile, email, push, SMS).
  • Analytical mindset with exceptional critical thinking capabilities.
  • Comfort navigating and manipulating large data sets to identify trends and underlying drivers.
  • Experience with SQL (with Tableau and/or Python being a strong plus!)
  • Experience leading and managing teams of analysts and leading analytical initiatives.
  • Ability to thrive (and preference to work) in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with frequently changing goals and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and interest in solving problems, particularly using data to help answer somewhat nebulous questions (e.g., how consumers make purchasing decisions).
  • Excellence in implementation, including attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

It would be great if you also had

  • 2-3 years of post-MBA experience in management consulting, strategy, or P&L ownership roles.
  • MBA or similar from a top tier program

What we’ll offer in return

  • Full-Time Salary Position with a competitive salary.
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits.
  • 401K with company match.
  • A multitude of perks including student loan payments, discounts on vehicles, benefits for your pets, and much more.
  • A great wellness program to keep you healthy and happy both physically and mentally.
  • Access to opportunities to expand your skill set and share your knowledge with others across the organization.
  • A company culture of promotions from within, with a start-up atmosphere allowing for varied and rapid career development.
  • A seat in one of the fastest-growing companies in the country.
