Objectives of This Role:
We’re looking for an Associate Director, Engagement Strategy who blends left- and right-brain thinking—comfortable mapping out customer journeys, diving into IQVIA data, and connecting digital dots across platforms. You’ll help shape and optimize omnichannel strategies, ensuring a brand’s engagement vision is not only realized but elevated. You should bring a keen understanding of digital ecosystems, a passion for data-driven insights, and experience with both CRM platforms and SEO tools.
This role is ideal for someone who can move seamlessly between high-level strategic planning and hands-on execution—particularly within HCP marketing—but will touch both HCP and DTC projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Omnichannel & Engagement Strategy
- Lead omnichannel and CRM strategy development for assigned brands, connecting audience insights, content, and channel activation across touchpoints (HCP, patient, caregiver)
- Use data sources such as IQVIA AIM, Looker dashboards, GA4, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud to draft insights, trends and shape optimization recommendations
- Define audience segments and customer journeys, identifying opportunities for personalization and progression across the funnel
- Translate analytics into actionable engagement frameworks, KPIs, and testing plans that guide execution teams
- Collaborate with media, creative, and brand strategy teams to ensure channel recommendations align with brand goals and omnichannel best practices
- Lead internal workshops or client presentations to align on engagement vision, KPIs, and content architecture
CRM, Data & Platform Integration
- Partner with marketing automation and data teams to design and optimize journeys within SFMC/Marketo CRM, leveraging decision splits, triggers, and personalization logic
- Collaborate with account and CRM operations to ensure seamless integration with Veeva CRM and downstream measurement systems
- Interpret CRM engagement and IQVIA AIM data to connect digital signals to brand outcomes, supporting ongoing test-and-learn cycles
- Define measurement frameworks and data visualizations in Looker to communicate performance trends clearly to clients and internal stakeholders
SEO, GEO & Digital Ecosystem
- Conduct and interpret Website audits including SEO / GEO audits to assess digital footprint, keyword performance, and content visibility across patient and HCP ecosystems
- Translate findings into actionable web and content recommendations—spanning structured data, schema markup, and on-page optimization
- Partner with creative, content, and development teams to ensure website experiences align with search intent, UX best practices, and channel strategy
Thought Leadership & Mentorship
- Mentor junior strategists, guiding journey mapping, CRM planning, and digital storytelling deliverables.
- Stay current on omnichannel innovation, including AI-driven personalization, SEO for AI discovery, and emerging CRM/GEO capabilities.
- Contribute to internal knowledge-sharing, POVs, and case studies that elevate Fingerpaint’s omnichannel practice
Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of digital marketing experience (pharmaceutical agency experience strongly preferred)
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and/or Marketo
- Ability to manage and activate HCP lists and integrate IQVIA data into targeting and measurement
- Strong working knowledge of SEO platforms including GSC, SEMrush, Screaming Frog etc. (AI SEO tools experience preferred)
- Comfortable using tools like Google Analytics to derive actionable insights
- Familiarity with customer journey mapping tools or frameworks
- Understanding of core UX and UI principles
- Practical experience across integrated marketing disciplines: CRM, content strategy, SEO/SEM, and direct marketing
- Strong presentation and collaboration skills; comfort leading client conversations
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Miro & Ziflow
- Global pharmaceutical clients digital experience a plus
