Overview of the role

Data Quality Analyst works on many industry research projects during an annual research cycle. The objective of the Data Quality Analyst role is to ensure quality and accuracy of our industry databases and other data sources. Specifically, that company information presented is of high quality and that there is a consistent approach across the countries and projects. Data Quality Analyst must ensure that the relationships between brands, companies and their owners are accurate and that all entries conform to Euromonitor's house style. This work is done in collaboration with the Syndicated Research team and other internal stakeholders working on each project.

They will take responsibility for various aspects of the finalisation process on industries within their remit and help to ensure that all data is delivered to the Database team ready for loading to our websites on time.

Data Quality Analysts are also responsible for the maintenance of the master company database. They ensure that all company name changes are accurately recorded and all M&A and subsidiary information is stored appropriately in the database. They will work closely with Syndicated Research to ensure that data reflects their specific industry knowledge. Data Quality Analyst will be responsible for the effective management of this information, ensuring it is shared with all internal stakeholders.

What you’ll do

On any project, Data Quality Analyst may be required to do any of the following:

· Standardisation of data across databases of company shares, sources, CRM and other internal repositories.

· Conducting research related to company and brand acquisitions and changes of ownership and implementing the findings within the company database.

· Liaising with Research Managers and other Euromonitor research staff (in-house and in-country) to ensure consistency in data between countries.

· Working closely with Central Project Team to ensure that databases reflect their understanding of their specialist markets.

· Effective management of company knowledge gained in research projects to ensure that it is leveraged across subsequent projects and in different Euromonitor products.

On a cross-project basis, Data Quality Analyst may be required to do any of the following:

· Development and maintenance of the Company Database, recording company name changes, M&A activity and subsidiary information.

· Ensuring that all Company Database content is up-to-date, consistent, and free of duplication.

· Building data quality best practices and implementing them across the company.

What you'll need:

·       Experience in data analysis, data management, or similar roles.

·       Strong understanding of data quality standards and practices.

·  R/Python would be a plus - not mandatory

The salary range for this position is between: €2,000 and €2,400 / month
