We encourage all to apply. About the Role: Studio Secret Cinema is the brand experience arm of the world-renowned Secret Cinema. We translate our signature "immersion" into high-impact experiential campaigns for global leaders in gaming, tech, and entertainment. As Associate Creative Director, you are both an architect and an artisan. You will lead the ideation and narrative concepting for major pitches while remaining hands-on in the "craft", from scripting and casting to art directing on-site builds. Your goal is to ensure every brand activation isn't just an event, but a world-class cultural moment.  Your work will directly impact the growth of Studio Secret Cinema, with a lot of opportunity to work directly on pitches and projects into realisation. The role will ensure that Studio Secret Cinema continues to build its reputation with brands for delivering industry leading immersive experiential across a wide range of experience formats. Please note: This is a fixed term contract until 31 December 2026, and qualified candidates must be based in or close to Greater London. We encourage collaboration by working a minimum of 3 days per week in the office, while also offering flexibility for employees to choose where they work for the rest of the week. The salary range for this position is £70,000 - £80,000 per year. We welcome candidates interested in a four- or five-day workweek. Compensation will be adjusted based on experience and chosen schedule. What Success Looks Like:
  • Win Rate: Lead at least 6 major pitches with a minimum 60% conversion rate.
  • Cultural Heat: Deliver projects that generate at least 3 "Key Visual" moments shared across major industry press (Campaign, Creative Review, etc.).
  • Account Growth: Secure at least one follow-on project or retainer through exceptional creative delivery and client trust.
  • Industry Recognition: Lead at least one project that wins or is shortlisted for a Campaign Experience Award.
  • What You’ll Do:
  • As an Associate Creative Director at Studio Secret Cinema, your day-to-day is a blend of high-level narrative concepting and creative crafts that relate to the practical delivery of concept pitches and event production.
  • Lead dynamic and collaborative creative brainstorms for Tier-1 brand RFPs to increase the agency’s pitch win rate and secure projects ranging from £50k activations to million pound+ experiences.
  • Translate complex brand values, commercial messages and product information into immersive experience narratives and narrative arcs to ensure client objectives are met through deep, measurable guest engagement.
  • Direct the output of Graphic Designers, Production designers, 3D designers, choreographers, performers, costume designers and more to deliver a “Secret Cinema" aesthetic that differentiates the agency from traditional experiential competitors.
  • Work collaboratively with Studio Secret Cinema producers and other technical partners to ensure experience concepts remain feasible, excellent, and within the allocated budget.
  • Write and design visually stunning and concise decks in Google slides that communicate Studio Secret Cinema’s concepts to clients and other partners.
  • Present bold, narrative-led concepts to senior leaders from corporate brands and businesses in a compelling and inspiring way that builds trust 
  • Evaluate emerging technologies for project integration to keep the agency at the forefront of industry innovation
  • Audit the visual and narrative "snagging" during live builds to guarantee the final experience matches the pitch promise and protects the brand’s reputation.
  • We’re Looking for Someone With:
  • Extensive experience (typically 7+ years) in creative experiential or events agencies, with at least 3 years at a Senior Creative level, specifically within experiential, brand activation, or immersive entertainment. (Theatre-making or directing experience is a major plus).
  • Proven Pitch Mastery: A track record of leading and winning high-value (six to seven-figure) creative pitches for global corporate brands.
  • Spatial & Narrative World Building: Deep experience in the ability to map out a guest journey across physical environments, ensuring the story translates into 3D space and live layers.
  • Design Literacy: While not necessarily a designer themselves, the candidate must have the technical language to direct 3D designers and integrate creative tech like AR, projection mapping, RFID, as well as graphic and production designers.
