Role: Associate Creative Director - Design

Location:  Mumbai, India 

 

About the role: 

Working in true collaboration with our client Unilever, at U-Studio we have one goal in mind: ‘to be the leading agency partner for the development of stunning and effective Needs based content and digital mediacampaigns’.

These brands are at the forefront of contemporary thinking, utilising in-depth insight for digital strategy and content advertising. They are also dedicated to sustainability and foregrounding a brand purpose, which means the work we do with them requires working creative thinking into every brief, regardless of scale. 

We are currently looking to hire an Associate Creative Director with 7+ years experience to manage social networks for a top Beauty and FMCG client. 

The successful candidate will have a strong background of working with digital and social agencies, and must excel in producing engaging and creative social media and digital work, across planning, strategy and media. 

An editorial background and creative skills such as Photoshop would be an advantage. 

 

What you will be doing: 

  • Taking projects across multiple platforms/channels, from brief to completion, experience with creative ideation and adaptation process whilst working closely within the client’s brand guidelines.  
  • Experience with Beauty and FMCG brands is a must.  
  • Produce digital concepts, design and assets to the client’s brief and exacting standards whilst positively influencing clients with their creative input in addition to undertaking and pitching new creative concepts.  
  • Produce beautiful and innovative work across digital platforms and channels based on client’s brief  
  • Responsible for the full creative lifecycle from concept to execution  
  • Work closely with the team to create strong concepts from the initial briefing  
  • Lead in pitching creative solutions in response to Client’s marketing strategies  
  • Manage the preparation of all finished artwork files that will comply with the correct output specifications  
  • Ensure all design work adheres to the latest digital and social trends and requirements  

 

What you need to be great in this role: 

  • Strong Art Direction and concepting skills especially on digital channels for beauty brands 
  • Strong typographic skills 
  • A highly creative integrated designer with the ability to take and positively influence client briefs with your own innovative ideas 
  • Confident in bringing your own ideas and creativity to projects whilst working within a broad range of design guidelines across a variety of artwork collateral 
  • Understanding of design principles and an awareness of UX, UI and Responsive Design trends. 
  • Effectively organising and prioritising workloads to manage client delivery whilst simultaneously influencing clients with their own ideas and conceptual creativity 
  • High proficiency in Adobe CC suite applications including Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch After Effects and associated prototyping tools, 
  • Ability to take ownership of projects from concept through to completion 
  • Ability to take, interpret and deliver design projects within agreed deadlines 
  • Excellent project management skills 
  • Experience in managing designs for brands across social media, performance marketing, digital branding, e-comm. 
  • Preferably someone who comes from a digital first / digital only brand / editorial / agency 
  • Good Communication skills   
  • Good in handling pressure 
  • Confidence and comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing client environment 
  • Discrete about all confidential and personal information
  • Passion for and inquisitive about AI and new technologies
  • Understanding and knowledge of AI tools is beneficial, but ability to learn and digest benefits and features of AI tools is critical
