Monks is looking for a well-rounded, experienced Associate Creative Director with an art direction background. This is a hands-on role where you will lead projects, develop concepts, and win pitches. Our ideal candidate has a strong background in art direction and design, with proven experience in leading, guiding, and mentoring creative teams.

What You'll Do:

  • Creative Leadership & Concepting: Conceive and execute concepts, guidelines, and strategies for a wide range of creative projects. You will own the creative process from initial brief to final delivery.
  • Team Management & Mentorship: Lead and motivate a team of art directors, illustrators, copywriters, and other creatives. You will guide them through creative blocks, provide constructive feedback, and foster their professional growth.
  • Pitching & Client Relations: Lead brainstorming sessions, develop compelling presentations, and pitch concepts confidently to clients. You will serve as a key creative partner for our clients, translating their business needs into inspiring creative roadmaps.
  • Project Execution: Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring the final work exceeds expectations, is strategically sound, and is delivered on time. You will push for work that goes beyond the brief on both a creative and technical level.
  • Digital & Social Expertise: Apply a strong knowledge of social media best practices, user behavior on digital channels, and innovative uses of platforms to create impactful campaigns.

Who We're Looking For (Requirements):

  • Experience: 4-6 years of professional creative experience in an advertising or production agency, with at least 2 years in a high-level or lead role where you were responsible for managing creative teams.
  • Background: A strong portfolio demonstrating excellence in art direction, with a keen eye for design. Experience with animation is a major plus.
  • Leadership: You know how to empower a team, giving clear creative direction and ownership. You can give and receive criticism constructively, and you lead with humility and inspiration.
  • Strategic & Presentation Skills: You can translate complex client briefs into clear creative strategies. You excel at designing decks, structuring presentations, and pitching your ideas in a digestible and persuasive format.
  • AI Integration: You have a marked interest in new technologies and a practical understanding of how to integrate AI tools into the creative process. You can demonstrate the use of specific tools or a knowledge of how AI can enhance creative work, from concepting to execution.
  • Communication: Advanced fluency in English (written and oral) is essential. You have experience leading creative teams in an international, English-speaking environment.
  • Collaborative Spirit: You thrive in a global team environment, collaborating effectively across different time zones and maintaining a positive, can-do attitude.
