Job Summary:

Reporting to the Senior Business Intelligence Engineer, the Associate Business Intelligence Analyst will play a key role in designing, maintaining, and optimizing Freestar’s data infrastructure and reporting ecosystem. 

This role blends analytical insight with technical execution managing data pipelines, curating models in BigQuery and Looker, and ensuring the highest levels of data quality and performance across the company’s analytics stack.

Our ideal candidate has a strong foundation in SQL and BI tools, a problem-solver’s mindset, and the ability to translate business requirements into reliable, scalable data products.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in Database management, maintaining BI BigQuery databases, scheduled queries and Dataform, ensuring data accuracy and relevancy. 
• Assist in DBT and cloud run/airflow jobs.
• Assist in designing and developing team specific dashboards, leveraging BI tools like Looker.
• Assist in QA, discrepancy monitoring measures and resolving data issues.
• Engage in learning oportunities and enhance technical skills.
• Support in strategic initiatives by providing data-driven insights and recommendations. 

Qualifications:

• 1+ years experience with SQL. Other programming languages are a plus (specifically Python and LookML).
• Understanding of DBT and Airflow or Cloud Run for orchestrating and scheduling data workflows.
• Moderate to strong knowledge of data and data visualization tools such as BigQuery, Looker
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills, with the ability to interpret complex datasets and derive insights.
• Comfortable with Google Workspace products and working in CRM systems (e.g. HubSpot).
