Opportunity

The Workforce Support Manager will directly provide employees and leaders with day to day HR consulting support primarily specializing in employee relations (ER). S/he will be a member of Asia Pacific Workforce Support Team, collaborating closely with HRBPs to resolve various people issues, and providing consultancy on labor compliance, HR policies, procedures to employees and managers in the region. S/he will also provide support across multiple business units/sites as needed. Reporting to the APAC Workforce Support Lead, this individual will be the main point of contact for employees and managers regarding employee relations, and co-own employee engagement and satisfaction for the region.  Success in this role requires a fast learner who can master local processes and labor regulations quickly and execute efficiently.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Collaborate closely with HRBPs, and act as a trusted advisor to employees and leaders, providing positive employee relations and manager capability support.

  • Work in strong collaboration with other HR services tiers to ensure employee inquiries and issues are resolved in a timely, friendly and comprehensive way, 

  • Handle various ER issues including investigations, performance management, disciplinary actions, absenteeism management, terminations, and restructuring activities. 

  • Recommend ER strategies and initiatives that will support employee morale and engagement. 

  • Serve as the primary liaison with leadership regarding policy reviews, regional benchmarking, and training opportunities to ensure local competitiveness and compliance.

  • Utilize people data and analytics to identify trends, recommend improvements, and provide insights to HR leadership for strategic decision-making and OGSM reviews.

  • Stakeholder engagement: build and maintain strong relationships with HRBPs, COEs, functional leaders, local labor unions, government bodies, and other stakeholders to support workforce initiatives.

  • Technology and process improvement: drive the adoption and optimization of digital tools (e.g., ad.a, Oracle HCM) to enhance workforce support processes and employee experience. Lead key projects focused on process development or capability enhancement.

  • Manage employee wellbeing related special cases that need to align with EHS/ Government/Legal requirements. 

  • Support key projects focused on new process or capability development/enhancement. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field required

  • At least 5 years of related HR experience, demonstrating strong execution in handling high-volume, complex ER cases.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Vietnamese.

  • Strong relationship-building skills with HRBP, COEs, employees, functional leaders, labor unions, and government bodies.

  • Ability to approach issues or disagreements with the objective of reaching win/win solutions. 

  • Thorough understanding of human resources and labor relations principles, practices, and procedures.

  • Proficiency in using digital case management and workflow tools to streamline HR processes.

  • Ability to analyze people data, compile insights, and present comprehensive reports to leadership.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, escalate issues appropriately, and drive win/win solutions in complex employee relations cases.

  • Willingness to travel occasionally to various sites/countries as needed.
