Assistant Store Manager (Williamsburg)

Catbird is looking for an Assistant Store Manager to help lead the team at our Williamsburg Flagship. Assistant Store Managers are sales leaders, people developers, and culture carriers. You are accountable for driving store sales performance, delivering an exceptional in-store customer experience, and developing a high-performing team of Stylists and Key Holders. You lead from the floor—actively selling demi-fine jewelry, performing Forever Jewelry welding and device-based ear piercing, coaching in real time, and ensuring store operations run seamlessly. Key Responsibilities
  • Drive store sales by leading conversion, services (Forever Jewelry welding and piercing), and repeat customer visits.
  • Lead by example on the sales floor, delivering warm, high-touch customer experiences that reflect Catbird’s values.
  • Actively perform Forever Jewelry welding and device-based ear piercing, modeling excellence in service execution, safety, and customer care.
  • Coach Stylists and Key Holders in real time, reinforcing strong selling behaviors, product knowledge, and service standards.
  • Monitor floor coverage, service flow, and wait times; adjust staffing and priorities to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Support and resolve escalated customer needs, including returns, service concerns, and special requests, with empathy and sound judgment.
  • Partner with the Store Manager to support scheduling, floor planning, and labor optimization.
  • Execute and support clienteling initiatives, special orders, and in-store events to drive traffic and build long-term customer relationships.
  • Ensure visual, merchandising, and brand standards are consistently met across the sales floor.
  • Open and close the store as needed, supporting daily operational execution.

  • Comfortable and confident performing Forever Jewelry welding and device-based ear piercing after training.
  • Effective at leading from the floor and coaching in real time.
  • Highly organized, adaptable, and calm in a fast-paced environment.
  • A clear, empathetic communicator who builds trust and momentum.
  • Flexible in availability and location, including weekends.
  • Jewelry, luxury, or clienteling experience is a plus.
