Our partner is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for a retail location in Cherry Hill, NJ. Store leadership roles are essential in ensuring effective daily operations, implementing strategies and procedures, guiding and developing team members, and creating meaningful consumer experiences.
As an Assistant Store Manager, you will support the Store Manager in leading the team, improving service levels, driving sales performance, and contributing to overall profitability. You will help maintain an environment built on teamwork, customer service, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction to supervisors and associates to ensure operational standards and performance expectations are met.
- Support a positive consumer shopping experience by ensuring sales associates maintain strong product and technology knowledge.
- Assist the Store Manager with interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and supporting ongoing team development.
- Participate in creating and executing action plans related to sales, operations, safety, and productivity.
- Create weekly store schedules and support labor and operating expense goals.
- Maintain accurate inventory through receiving, processing, replenishment, stockroom organization, and shrink controls.
- Perform additional duties consistent with the overall scope of the role.
Requirements
- No specific education required (High School Diploma or GED preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role or specialization.
- Proficiency with inventory systems, Point of Sale (POS) systems, and other retail technology tools.
- Ability to use sound judgment to identify and resolve daily operational or technical issues.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with leadership, associates, and customers.

- May use specialized equipment; occasional exposure to dust and noise.
