We are seeking individuals to support the delivery of our operations at Stockley Park. We aim to build a pool of Assistant Replay Operators to assist with VAR operations during live Premier League match days. These roles provide a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in elite sports operations, live broadcast technology, and high-profile football environments
Assistant Replay Operator:
Depending on your role and level of experience, your responsibilities may include:
Video Feed Management:
Maintain and monitor all incoming broadcast camera feeds to ensure high-quality, real-time video is available throughout the match.
Support for the VAR & Replay Operator:
Provide immediate access to the most relevant camera angles upon request, ensuring clear and efficient review for the VAR team.
Matchday Preparation:
Assist in the setup, testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of all VAR-related hardware and software before kickoff.
System Operation & Monitoring:
Operate specialised replay technology (Hawk-Eye SMART Replay), checking all systems before and during matches to ensure reliability.
Archiving & Incident Logging:
Efficiently capture, label, and archive key match incidents, such as goals, penalties, offsides, and potential red cards, ensuring all clips are accurately logged, timestamped, and organised for quick retrieval and post-match review.
VARDict Graphics Operator:
Depending on your role and level of experience, your responsibilities may include:
VARDict Graphics Delivery:
Delivering real-time graphics and data to stadium screens, broadcasters and communicating VAR decisions clearly to fans and partners during live matches
Stockley Park Support:
Liaising with officials, broadcasters, and stadium staff remotely
Supporting data accuracy and maintaining high operational standards
Conducting pre-match checks and ensuring all systems are ready to go
Troubleshooting any technical issues quickly and calmly
Writing post-match reports to inform continuous improvement
This is a highly visible and high-pressure role. We’re looking for individuals who are reliable, professional, and passionate about football, and who meet the following criteria:
Must live within a commutable distance to Stockley Park
Availability to work weekends and some midweek evenings
Ability to perform under pressure in a live broadcast environment
Strong football knowledge and understanding of the Laws of the Game
A high level of professionalism, as you'll be working in a client-facing role
Excellent communication skills and a calm, solutions-focused attitude
A solid technical foundation and quick to learn new systems
Proactive, organised, and detail-oriented
Desirable Attributes and Experience:
Previous experience using replay/video editing software
Experience working in live broadcast events and video formats
Strong understanding of PC networking

Candidates who succeed in the ARO position will be considered for further progression and development to become Replay Operators, working directly alongside the VAR on EPL matches.

Candidates must be able to prioritise weekend availability to support live match operations. Initial weekday availability is also required to allow for structured training, system familiarisation, and competency sign-off before undertaking matchday duties independently.

Working Hours: Due to the nature of the sports industry, there is often work on weekends and midweek evenings, and we are expected to fulfil our roles until the last kick.
Travelling Abroad: As the role progresses, there will be travel to various countries, mainly in Europe, for UEFA-based competitions. There could be further travel to other tournaments throughout the year.
High-Pressure Situations: Working in a live broadcast environment on a production that is distributed globally and widely seen by many will bring levels of pressure.
