Assistant Manager - Data Research

Position Overview

Assistant Manager plays a crucial role in the Data Research team, supporting content creation by collecting, classifying, and reviewing data to enhance our articles. This position is pivotal in ensuring the swift, accurate, and high-quality publication of content across Forbes Marketplace properties, including Forbes Health, Forbes Advisor US, Forbes Advisor International, Forbes Home and Forbes Business. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Manager to join our Data Research Team. The successful candidate will support the management of data research activities, ensuring high-quality data analysis, reporting, and insights. You will be responsible for overseeing daily research tasks, assisting with team coordination, and collaborating across departments to drive data-driven decision-making processes.

Skill & Experience We seek a dynamic and analytical assistant manager with 6 years of experience. The ideal candidate will conduct in-depth primary & secondary research, design and execute research projects, and provide actionable recommendations for informed business decisions.

Qualifications:

• Previous 6 years of work experience in data research, data analysis within a managerial capacity.
• Strong understanding of data research methodologies, tools, and techniques.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow descriptions and guidelines.
• Experience with project management, team coordination, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to draw actionable insights from complex data.

Responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive understanding of the research topics covered by your areas space (products, providers, metrics, attributes) to ensure that you can provide the best support in case of questions and issues with the researchers.
• Ensure the accuracy and reliability of collected data by conducting thorough quality assurance checks.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with specific teams, department heads, or designated contacts.
• Reframe research strategies as needed, ensuring adaptability to changing circumstances and evolving project requirements.
• Support the research team by regularly performing research in completing high priority projects and ad hoc projects along with researching on DataHive ensuring that deliverables are met as per the required standards and timelines.
• Delegate tasks effectively, ensuring clear expectations and accountability among team members.
• Liaise with the analysts to have productive discussion on research requirements, timelines and planning on next steps.
• Identify opportunities to improve research methodologies, data collection practices, and reporting tools. Assist in the implementation of more efficient processes and tools to improve the team’s overall performance.
• Assist with the onboarding and training of junior team members. Provide guidance and support for their professional development.
