Assistant Manager - Content Analytics (Marathi)

JioStar is looking to hire for the Consumer Strategy and Insights (CSI) team within JioStar. CSI is a central Business Strategy & Insights practice and this role will see you collaborating with leadership teams of Star Pravah and Colors Marathi channels to enhance the value for consumers through data and strategic insights. You will be driving the strategic thinking for content, marketing and monetization with data backed insights to shape the business and brand.  In an evolving world of user preferences, real-time consumer insights play a critical role in defining business strategies. CSI manages a brand called Distillery – a social media command center that mines millions of consumer conversations to provide actionable insights to JioStar’s content, marketing and strategy teams. These social insights are supplemented with other sources like viewership data, primary & secondary research to provide a consumer-first data-backed insight on audience trends, competitive landscape, opportunities and threats in the ecosystem.  Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Analytics: Develop in-depth understanding of business, consumer and content using various tools, platforms, viewership & consumption data.
  • Consumer Strategy: Work with vast quantities of unstructured data, apply analytical lens and unearth relevant insights and recommendations to solve business problems for India.
  • Content Strategy : Analyse, identify, and apply evolving trends across categories, competition, and consumers to shape content.
  • Brand Protection: Identification and analysis of threat to business, leadership, and network channels to ensure timely escalation and intervention.
  • Thought leadership: Develop capability and projects that allow for the practice to remain future ready.
  • Develop queries and dashboards across tools to collate and distil insights, monitor crisis, and stay connected with the consumers.
  • Partner with key stakeholders, co-create opportunities for growth, address business challenges and service BUs with high integrity and discipline.
  • Business Impact: Providing insights & strategic intelligence that enable business growth.
  • Device a mechanism to give feedback on the various shows and programming. Ensure consumers voice is taken into account by the programming and marketing teams.
  • Thought Leadership & High Potential Narrative Formulation.
  • Ensure channel’s viewership shows continuous growth.  
  • Preferred Education & Experience
  • MBA from Tier 1 Institutes preferred.
  • Must have Native or Bilingual proficiency in Marathi (reading, speaking)
  • Should have a strong understanding of the Maharashtra culture.
  • 2+ years of work experience
  • Any interest in Drama, Theatre, Writing will be an added advantage.
  • Should have a passion for consuming content -  across TV, Movies, Theater etc.
  • Should have the ability to handle large amounts of data, including unstructured data.
  • High personal impact and exceptional written and oral communication skills. Articulating the stories that lie within the data is a key facet of this role.
