About this role
We are looking for a technically strong and well organised Assistant Management Accountant that can work in a fast paced, dynamic, and expanding technology company. This key role will assist the Finance Director on all aspects of the accounting function, from owning the AP and AR functions through to production of the management reporting.
About the team
The Finance Team is a small team that consists of the Finance Director, Management Accountant, and the Assistant Management Accountant. We collaborate as a team to achieve and deliver on Finance deliverables, as well as serve as a business partner to the rest of the business.
Your Responsibilities
You will be responsible for financial and management accounting for all entities within the Fuse Group (Fuse Universal Ltd and Fuse Foundation charity).
- Maintain all Ledgers - General, Sales and Purchase Ledgers.
- Responsible for timely processing of Sales invoices and debt management, including all aspects of credit control.
- Treasury Functions including on-line banking management.
- Full transactional postings into finance systems
- Assist with cash flow forecasting.
- Assist with the financial forecasting and budget process.
- Updating customer & supplier contact details including direct debit/payment details.
- Supporting the team in ensuring purchase requisitions/orders are approved and received in a timely manner.
- Responsible for purchase requisition and staff expenses processing in line with company policy.
- Responsible for maintaining Fixed Assets Register
- Month-end routines to agreed finance timetable, balance sheet reconciliations, P/L analysis and management reporting.
- Assist with monthly payroll processing.
- Assist with the preparation of the monthly consolidated management accounts pack
- Ad-hoc tasks as and when required.
- Assist with on-going projects to improve systems, processes and controls.
- Providing support to the Finance Director, Senior management and internal & external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Be proactive in dealing with customers/suppliers, and build relationships with their finance contacts.
- Collaborative individual with over 5 years of experience working within a Finance Team.
- Have a finance degree or an active student working towards an accounting qualification.
- Have confidence and charisma with the ability to build working relationships with stakeholders both internally and externally.
- Must be diligent, highly organised and have excellent attention to detail.
- An ability to cope under pressure and manage time effectively to get priority tasks done with a high level of accuracy.
- Strong multitasking skills are a must. The role requires someone who can easily switch between tasks throughout the day as this is the nature of the role.
- Have strong communication skills both verbally and written, and be able to approach people at all levels of authority.
- Experience with Xero accounting system or similar is preferential.
- Excellent Excel skills.
