Are you a passionate and experienced Assistant Group Controller, looking for a new challenge in the hospitality industry?

If yes, then join our dynamic team at Domes Resorts and play a key role in overseeing the smooth operation of the Group’s properties Accounting Departments on a day-to-day basis, ensuring all accounting procedures and Group’s policies are always adhered to. This right candidate will also coordinate the monthly closings, produce monthly management reports and complete forecasting and budgeting exercises.

Success will be measured by:

• Timely and data-informed reporting, ensuring that key stakeholders receive the appropriate information when needed.
• Precise forecasting and cash flow management.
• Realistic budgeting aligned with the Group’s objectives and policies.
• Bookkeeping consistently adheres to the practices of the Group.
• Efficient collaboration and communication with the accountants and operational departments of the properties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Generate financial reports on a monthly basis, ensuring timely delivery.
• Assess the financial performance of properties in relation to the budget.
• Supervise the daily operations of both internal and outsourced accounting departments for the Group’s properties.
• Verify compliance with established accounting procedures according to the Group’s policies, and validate the accuracy of cost center allocations.
• Manage and oversee payments to vendors and collections from debtors.
• Collaborate with various above-property and on-property departments within the Group to facilitate the flow of financial information to different accounting offices.
• Conduct budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Monitor the implementation of contracts executed by the Group’s properties.
• Support the approval process for expenditures and employee claims submitted by the operating departments of the Group's properties.

Requirements

• At least 3 to 5 years of experience in a comparable position. A background in cost control or financial analysis is strongly preferred.
• A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related field is required.
• ACCA or similar professional certification will be considered an asset.
• Proficient in advanced Microsoft Office skills, with a strong emphasis on Excel (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and macros)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong command of the English language.
• Strong understanding of cost control principles and budgeting
• Ability to identify cost-saving opportunities
• Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
• Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with all cooperating teams
