Role: Assistant Finance Manager

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia 

 

About the role: 

OLIVER is on the lookout for an Assistant Finance Manager based in Singapore to join an amazing team in an exciting, fast-growing business. 

 

What you will be doing: 

  • Responsible for preparation and leading the discussion with business leads for weekly P&L reforecasts 
  • Review weekly cashflow forecast 
  • Monthly GL closing – preparing closing reports for Global, ensure all month end journals are posted, preparation of financial statements, supporting schedules, tax computations and other related matters 
  • Statutory Audits & Tax filing: Liaise with Company’s external auditor on year-end audits. Prepare financial statement, accounting working papers, accounts analysis and supporting schedules for the audit 
  • Support Finance Manager in preparation of annual and quarterly re-forecast 
  • Ensure timely filing of statutory and tax filings 
  • Well-versed with GST and WHT implications 
  • Assist in quarterly GST submission 
  • Responsible for the reconciliation of inter-company mismatches and perform variance analysis 
  • Standardize accounting procedures and oversee company accounting practice 
  • Supporting the Finance Manager with ad-hoc tasks when required 

 

What you need to be great in this role: 

  • Minimum 5 years of solid accounting experience 
  • Must be from an advertising/digital agency background 
  • Qualified Accountant preferred 
  • A team player with good interpersonal skills and communication skills 
  • Able to multitask and work with cross departments/countries 
  • Able to work and deliver under pressure and tight deadlines 
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision and is a self-starter 
  • Possess good and positive working attitude 
  • Knowledgeable and proficient in Microsoft Excel (Vlookup, Pivot table), Powerpoint and Xero preferred.
