Facilitate the design and leadership of community-based learning aligned with the broader institutional mission through 1) direct course support for the Environmental Studies Community-Engaged Practicum (ENVS0401) and 2) strategic curricular consultation with Academic Affairs colleagues. The purpose of this role is to partner with faculty in the Environmental Studies Program to support the major’s capstone seminar (ENVS0401) through direct support of students and through developing deeply collaborative and sustained relationships with community partners in Vermont and beyond; and to engage with other Middlebury faculty and staff colleagues on best practices for community-based teaching and research.
This is a part-time, benefits eligible, salaried position with a hiring range of $39,099 - $48,879 per year. This is a 27 hour per week position, worked only during the academic year (44 weeks).
