City Wide Kansas City is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated an Assistant Controller to join our team. As an Assistant Controller, you will be responsible for maintaining and analyzing financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, preparing financial statements, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
  • Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
  • Assist with year-end audits.
  • Provide support to the accounting team as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a staff accountant role.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
