Assistant Accountant

What we need:

Our finance team are expanding and we are looking for an Assistant Accountant based in Ukraine to join either our Dnipro or Lviv office. Primarily a tech hub, the Ukraine offices serve as the engine room for the business, housing the likes of Developers, Product Specialists, Account/Campaign Managers and Finance Professionals who work across the entire LoopMe product suite.

The Assistant Accountant will support the day-to-day management of the finance function including the preparation of the monthly management accounts, expenses review, and data analysis. You will be able to offer timely, ad hoc support to the wider finance team as they support the rapid growth of the business. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you will gain experience across a range of key financial processes and develop valuable skills suited to a career in finance.

This will be a hybrid working role, you will have the ability to work from home 50% of the time, with the remaining time working in one of our Ukraine offices.

What you'll be doing:

• Review of employee expenses to ensure they are in line with Company policy and are accurately accounted for in the Company profit and loss
• Support of the month-end close process, taking ownership of key tasks and journal postings
• Responsibility for maintaining balance sheet reconciliations of certain balance sheet accounts
• Weekly cash reconciliations
• Assisting preparation of annual accounts and audit of entities supported
• Assisting other members of the finance team with ad hoc projects during peak periods (audits, quarter-end, year-end etc)
• Supporting the preparation of reporting requirements for both internal and external stakeholders
• Responsibility for the on-boarding and off-boarding of new starters and leavers to relevant accounting platforms
• Assisting Senior Accountant with payroll processing
• Assisting with supplier payment processes

You'll have:

• Excellent verbal and written English skills
• Administration experience is essential; finance administration is preferred
• The ability to prioritise your workload and meet tight deadlines
• Experience of MS Office
• Excellent Excel skills
• Experience of NetSuite is an advantage
• Experience with creative problem solving and be quick to think on your feet
• Experience within technology industry advantageous
