Asset Management Technician - Hardware/Software

Location: Falls Church, VA (Onsite) 

Clearance: DOD Public Trust 

Classification: Non-Exempt 

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage hardware and software asset data within the designated Asset Repository(s). 
  • Perform inventory and tracking audits for over serval thousand GFEs. 
  • Generate Excel reports.
  • Create formulas and functions within Excel.
  • Manage Inventory maintenance and accountability. 
  • Maintain software assurance, subscriptions and maintenance. 
  • Manage incoming and outgoing asset shipments. 
  • Create, Update, Transfer, and Track Asset Application tickets for all hardware and software requests. 
  • Conduct software inventory audits, true ups and compliance. 
  • Dispose of assets following local procedures. 
  • Understand asset procurement process 
  • Ensure software processes are being followed by all internal teams and clients. 
  • Maintain spare assets, peripherals and purchase items stock. 
  • Complete hardware / software tickets per designated processes. 
  • Provide forecasting data to ensure license availability. 
  • Proficient with MS Office Applications, specifically Excel.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 4 years of customer service experience or a HS Degree and 8 years customer service experience. 
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience is required in Hardware and Software Asset Management (or comparable position) in a professional environment. 
  • DOD 8570 IAT Level ll, or lll certification required: example Security+ CE. 
  • Must have a fully adjudication DOD Position of Trust at a T3 level Security Clearance. 
  • Must be proficient with Excel and be able to create formulas, utilize functions, search large data sets, etc.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the supply management process with demonstrated sound judgement is required to perform professional and organizational responsibilities, implement effective supply accountability practices and measures, and provide timely and efficient support to the client.  
  • Ability to work in a team environment with minimum supervision and direction.  
  • Must have excellent customer service skills and be able to communicate professionally.
  • Experience using IT Ticketing systems like ServiceNow or Remedy.
  • There is considerable physical activity with the requirement to constantly lift at least 25 lbs.
