As an Asset Management Analyst/Associate at LV Collective, you’ll play a pivotal role in maximizing the value of our national portfolio of assets through strategic analysis, financial planning, and cross-functional collaboration. You will support the Asset Management team by providing operational insights, market research, and data-driven recommendations to drive asset performance and enhance investor outcomes.
Transactions
- Facilitate transactions by compiling and reviewing due diligence materials and drafting responses to inquiries from brokers and potential investors
Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Perform financial analyses to evaluate impacts of strategic decisions, such as refinancings and recapitalizations, on returns, yields, and financing covenants across the LV portfolio.
- Review financial reporting packages, identify key performance drivers and shortfalls, and produce investment reports for internal leadership and capital partners.
- Work with LV’s operations and property accounting teams, as well as other key internal stakeholders to meet deadlines for internal and external reporting.
Operational Analysis
- Support the Asset Management team with analytical and operational assistance across LV’s leasing and marketing, financial planning and analysis, and property operations platforms.
- Coordinate with the Operations team to analyze and assess proposed operating budgets for LV deals and benchmark properties’ performance to them throughout the academic year.
Leasing & Marketing Analysis
- Monitor macro and micro-market leasing trends, evaluate LV’s performance against the market, and recommend adjustments to leasing strategies and rates.
- Travel to LV’s active markets to assess the performance of LV’s assets and conduct competitor analyses.Contribute to LV’s Retail leasing process by conducting LOI reviews, participating in lease negotiations, and maintaining tenant relationships.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Business, or a related field
- 3–6 years of experience in asset management, real estate private equity, investment banking, or a similar analytical role
- Strong financial modeling skills with proficiency in Excel and an understanding of valuation, IRR, and waterfall analysis
- Familiarity with property-level operations, budgeting, and leasing strategies; student housing or mixed-use experience preferred
- Experience interpreting financial reports such as rent rolls, T12s, and budget variance reports
- Ability to synthesize large amounts of data into clear, actionable insights for internal and external stakeholders
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to travel to properties and markets as needed
