Monks is seeking a highly creative and experienced Art Director to join our team, specializing in developing groundbreaking visual concepts for social media. In this leadership role, you will be instrumental in setting the creative direction and visual identity for one of the world's most recognizable brands, ensuring artistic excellence and strategic alignment across all social platforms.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Creative Leadership: Lead the conceptualization and art direction of static and motion visual assets specifically tailored for social media campaigns.
  • Concept Development: Generate original, strategic, and high-impact creative ideas that resonate with target audiences and align with brand guidelines.
  • Visual Strategy: Define and maintain the overall visual style and consistency for social content, ensuring a cohesive look and feel across various platforms and formats.
  • Team Collaboration: Partner with Art Directors, Copywriters, Content Creators, and Designers, providing clear direction and mentorship to elevate the quality of all output.
  • Client Collaboration: Work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to present and articulate creative concepts, ensuring their vision and objectives are met.
  • Production Oversight: Oversee the visual execution from concept through final production, ensuring impeccable quality, efficiency, and adherence to platform-specific best practices.
  • Adaptation and Scale: Harmonize speed, style, and scale to ensure a steady output of high-quality, on-brand assets, including mechanical and template building for regional adaptations.

Requirements

  • You have 6+ years of experience in Art Direction, with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in social media, digital advertising, and concept-driven design.
  • You possess advanced skills in creative concept development, visual storytelling, and brand identity application.
  • You have solid proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) and a good understanding of motion design principles.
  • You have demonstrated experience in providing creative leadership and strategic direction to a team of designers and content creators.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing production environment are essential.
  • You are a proactive and strategic thinker, constantly looking for ways to improve creative processes and output.
  • You're a clear, persuasive communicator, well-versed in English, and comfortable working with designers and clients from all over the world.
  • You are highly organized and can manage large-scale projects, file structures, and versioning with meticulous detail.
