Roles and Responsibilities:

Internship program Summary/Overview

  • Equipment technician roles.
  • Program length: estimated 3 months.
  • During the 12-wk program, CSP interns will receive training and work experience that prepares them for equipment technician roles within the Infra Technology and Fab Engineering organization. Training includes introduction to semiconductor manufacturing, safety and fab protocol training, and completion of at least one entry-level certification. The certifications vary by department, example certifications include performing preventive maintenance procedures on factory equipment, parts rebuild, and material coordinator responsibilities. Interns will be evaluated on their performance during training as well as their independent work completed upon achieving certification.

 

 

Specific Job Duties

All interns that join the program receive training that covers the following items in preparation for a technician role:

1) Semiconductor Manufacturing Overview

2) Safety training for office and fab locations

3) Cleanroom protocol and fab access

4) Semiconductor operations software and systems

5) Quality training

 

Additionally, as needed: Fab Engineering Equipment Technician

1) Equipment State Change

2) Equipment Fault Detection and Classification (FDC) Sensors and management Fundamentals of Vacuum, Robotics, Pneumatics, Industrial Sensors, Optics and Lasers

3) WorkSMART and 5S

4) Troubleshooting methodology

5) Preventive maintenance (PM) and breakdown maintenance (BM)

6) Entry-level certification for the assigned job role

A or C shift minus Wednesday swing days.
