Area Special Events Sales Agent - Italy & Spain

A fabulous opportunity to join an incredible luxury hospitality brand and an amazing Sales Team representing the most stunning properties located in Southern Europe. As part of the Special Events Sales Office (SESO), you will be the first point of contact for the MICE, Celebration, and Special Interest segments for our 10 iconic hotels across Italy and Spain.

Scope and Purpose

The Area Special Events Sales Agent is responsible for delivering an impeccable first impression, providing expert destination advice, and managing the end-to-end reservation process. You will ensure that every client request is handled with the highest level of service from initial inquiry through to the final confirmation of the program.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle group requests across all segments, including qualifying, negotiating, and contracting using sophisticated sales techniques.
• Proactively develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure Belmond remains their preferred choice.
• Liaise daily with on-property teams, Regional Sales & Marketing staff, and Belmond Worldwide Sales Offices to align on strategy and execution.
• Maintain deep knowledge of our hotels, local destinations, and the competitive landscape to provide superior client advice.
• Perform general office duties and ensure all business processes strictly adhere to company guidelines.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of sales, events, or reservations experience within the luxury hotel or travel industry. Previous experience in group reservations is a significant plus.
• College degree in Business Management, Hotel Management, or Marketing.
• Perfect command of Italian and excellent English (both written and spoken). Knowledge of Spanish is considered a strong advantage.
• High competence in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and proficiency in hotel PMS systems such as Opera.
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities, high attention to detail, and a customer-focused, problem-solving attitude.
• Must hold an EU passport or a valid legal permit to work in Italy.
