About the role

As the Area Head Jakarta, you will report to the Regional Head (Indonesia) and oversee city sales and business development teams. Responsibilities

Grow the Business - Responsible for leading the overall JobStreet Indonesia sales and business operations.

  • Collaborating with external and internal collaborators to drive hyper-local strategy, business development, and cooperative initiatives.
  • Managing a team and budget to meet targets for business growth in areas like revenue, ad reach, hiring, and candidate expansion.
  • Ensuring the business is running with balanced growth.
  • Understanding the market and competition dynamics, agile in facing the competitive landscape, and driving a viable business.
  • Identifying, comprehending, and synthesizing internal and industry data (provided by the analytics team), crafting hypotheses of trends, and assessing business risk.
  • Engaging in field activities (including partnering with team members, coordinating events, networking with collaborators, connecting with the community, and driving business development)

Sales, Operations, and People Management – Accountable for managing large internal and external sales and operations teams (e.g., door-to-door, customer success representatives).

Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvements

  • Identifying gaps and opportunities through performance monitoring, leading to actionable plans for value creation, performance uplift, and operation efficiency improvement.
  • Leading both conceptual and practical problem-solving initiatives, making data-driven decisions with the agility to shift directions as quickly as needed.
  • Ensuring the delivery of end-to-end processes, from planning to execution and change management.
  • Accepting exciting assignments, helping leaders make tough decisions, partnering, and overcoming obstacles to deliver results.

Skills, Experience and Capabilities

The successful candidate should meet the following requirements:

  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in any field, preferably in Business Administration, Economics, or Engineering.
  • Have 5-8 years of practical experience in overseeing business and sales operations, demonstrating a proven track record to drive rapid growth.
  • Skilled in establishing strong customer relationships and representing the company professionally, with a requirement to conduct at least 15 client visits per week.
  • Proven success in business development, ideally within tech companies or management consulting in Indonesia.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of identifying gaps, performing root cause analysis, and providing recommendations.
  • Independent, with strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction.
  • Previous experience working with international teams on cross-functional projects.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English and Bahasa Indonesia.
  • Willing to be based in Jakarta and travel frequently to nearby areas.
