Application Engineer

 

The Application Engineer plays a crucial role in our organization, responsible for a range of technical tasks that are vital to our product development and customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will be entrusted with the following responsibilities:

  • Analyse standard and customer specifications to determine feasibility, ensuring all technical requirements are met.
  • Develop design concepts and proposals in close coordination with customers, adhering to the standards of engineering.
  • Oversee and direct 3D-modelling efforts in conjunction with CAD and CAE teams, ensuring adherence to design specifications.
  • Manage the creation of 2D-drawings with attention to customer specifications and tolerancing requirements.
  • Lead design reviews with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Establish test plans, write appropriate test orders, and conduct evaluations of test results (DVP) to ensure product reliability and performance.
  • Responsible for D-FMEA and provide assistance in the development of P-FMEA, contributing to risk mitigation and quality assurance.
  • Provide Application Engineering support for new projects and change management initiatives throughout the Product Life Cycle (PLC).
  • Fulfil all Application Engineering deliverables for PLC on assigned projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
  • Offer expert technical guidance to customers, assisting them in identifying and implementing application-technical solutions.
  • Conduct technical coordination with potential suppliers, ensuring alignment with project requirements and organizational standards.
  • Prepare and execute technical presentation to customers.
  • Support our manufacturing plants on problem solving and value add initiatives with product knowledge.
  • Bachelors degree or higher, preferably in a technical discipline
  • Working experience in R&D, applications engineering and/or sales engineering
  • Knowledge on PLC and APQP process
  • Excellent communication skills as well as solution oriented and structured style of work 
  • Minimum two years of relevant experience required
  • Experience in automotive business is preferred
