Apparel Production Assistant

Huckberry is building a world-class Product team to take our House Brands to the next level. We are on a mission to create high-quality, differentiated products to serve our customer base. We are looking for a detail-oriented, creative problem solver to join our House Brands product team and own on-time deliveries of our House Brand’s products.

A successful candidate works well in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision. We all roll up our sleeves to pitch-in and do whatever it takes to get the job done. Each day is a little different, it’s what keeps us on our toes and excited to come to work every day. In this position, you will report to the Production Associate.

**This role is based in Austin, TX, and requires regular onsite work at Huckberry HQ

Responsibilities

  • Own the production Work in Progress (WIP) report and cross-functional communication of changes to Product Development and Technical Design in our weekly Pre-Production meeting to ensure we are tracking towards on-time delivery
  • Assist Production Associate with vendor communication and maintaining strong vendor relationships
  • Manage third-party QC and product testing setup as needed
  • Work directly with our Brand Ops team to set up shipment for all House Brand POs. Maintain records of all actualized costs once PO shipment is approved
  • Facilitate sending out POs for all production orders promptly to vendor partners
  • Review and approve Top of Production (TOP) samples to ensure quality checkpoints are maintained and executed prior to bulk shipment
  • Own TOP sample management and coordination of sample pass off to various cross-functional partners. Assist in management and organization of other samples throughout the development process as needed
  • Own bulk submit filing for all apparel product categories
  • Assist with onboarding new vendors into our system
  • Track incoming and outgoing packages for the PD, Design, and Production team
  • Provide general administrative support to the Production and Product Development team in various ad hoc projects and tasks

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in apparel production (domestic and international)
  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising, Product Development, or a related field preferred
  • Knowledge of fabric, trims, & quality assurance is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Detail-oriented, creative problem solver, coupling leadership skills with excellent communication
  • Strong ability to multitask and prioritize workload to ensure deliveries are met
  • Proficient in Microsoft and Google suite
  • PLM experience preferred
  • Available for regular onsite work in Austin, TX
