Conduct inspection and testing of pressure vessels, storage tanks, piping systems, and other static equipment as per API codes and project specifications.
Ensure compliance with relevant standards such as API 510 (Pressure Vessels), API 570 (Piping), API 653 (Storage Tanks), and ASME codes.
Perform visual inspection, thickness measurement, hardness testing, and NDT review (RT, UT, MT, PT) as required.
Review and verify vendor inspection reports, calibration certificates, and material test certificates (MTCs).
Maintain inspection records, prepare detailed inspection reports, and issue recommendations for repairs or replacements.
Ensure all inspection activities comply with client requirements, safety regulations, and company QA/QC procedures.
Participate in turnaround/shutdown inspections and risk-based inspection (RBI) programs.
Coordinate with maintenance, engineering, and project teams for inspection findings and follow-up actions.
Monitor welding, PWHT, hydrotesting, and other fabrication/repair activities as per approved procedures.
Education: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
Certifications:
API 510 – Pressure Vessel Inspector
API 570 – Piping Inspector
API 653 – Aboveground Storage Tank Inspector (any combination preferred)
ASNT Level II (UT / MT / PT / RT) certifications – added advantage
