Hours per week: 35 ( flexible working options)

You’ll be required to work from our head office in Wigston, Leicester a minimum of 2 days per week. The remainder of your working hours will be undertaken from home.

About the role
We are recruiting for an A&P Application Manager to lead Advice & Practice’s content production; this is a busy and varied role. It is responsible for translating academic learning, IOSH policy, thought leadership, and global and member interest into fresh practical advice for members and the public. It brings opportunity to influence the profession and guide the development of its expertise.

The main areas of work for this role are:

·       Day-to-day support for the IOSH magazine. Activities include tracking published topics and advising on article briefs, webinar and podcast topics.

·       Development of technical content for the resource hub being developed on IOSH.com and advising on the development of a functional taxonomy.

·       The maintenance and creation of member guidance.

·       Technical support for the review of established IOSH product and the development of new courses.

·       Direct technical support to Policy & Public Affairs and Strategic Engagement.

This role reports to the Head of Advice & Practice. The role has two reports.

What you'll bring

Apart from a deep technical understanding of OSH, the successful candidate will be able to bring direct practical experience of working as an OSH professional in industry. You will be able to demonstrate an ability to work effectively with others without being afraid to constructively challenge colleagues with alternative ideas.

Essential criteria

·       At least 5 years' experience working in industry, preferably in a senior OSH role.

·       Experienced manager of others with a successful record of providing leadership in external organisations.

·       Level 6 OSH qualification or equivalent.

·       Must be CMIOSH
