We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Annotation Coordinator to oversee a small onsite annotation team working on multimodal AI related data. This is a hands-on leadership role that blends coordination, quality oversight, and active participation in annotation and data collection workflows. The ideal candidate thrives in structured environments, communicates clearly, and ensures accuracy and consistency across all annotation activities.  Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between internal project stakeholders and the annotation team.
  • Manage daily scheduling, assignment distribution, task prioritization, and workload balancing.
  • Own and enforce quality control processes, including audits, review cycles, and reporting.
  • Interpret evolving annotation requirements, schemas, and task guidelines, and communicate updates to the team.
  • Lead and participate in ad hoc data collection.
  • Conduct staff onboarding, training, and calibration sessions to align the team on standards and expectations.
  • Maintain thorough documentation and process tracking to ensure consistency.
  • Qualifications
  • Prior experience in data annotation, data quality operations, or similar analytical roles.
  • Proven ability to coordinate teams, manage workflows, and communicate effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort working with text, audio, video, or multimodal content.
  • Familiarity with annotation tools, taxonomies, and structured labeling guidelines is beneficial.
  • Ability to work onsite fulltime at the client location in Cambridge
  • Work Details & Requirements
  • 3 months Fixed Term Contract: (extendable based on performance and project requirements).
  • Work schedule - Regular working schedule, 8 hour shift per day
  • Onsite, 5 days per week at client location
  • Strong commitment to data accuracy, quality, and efficiency.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
