The Team You’ll Be Working With: Getting Help
At Wise, we’re on a mission to make financial services faster, simpler, and more accessible for everyone. The Getting Help team plays a critical role in this mission by empowering customers to solve their problems quickly and efficiently.
We’ve built the infrastructure for FAQs, self-service pages, and, most recently, launched a chat platform as a primary support channel. We’re enabling smarter customer interactions, automating solutions, and helping other teams deliver better support experiences through it. In 2026, we’re doubling down on making chat the go-to channel for our customers, and we need your expertise to take it to the next level 🚀.
What Does Our Team Look Like?
We’re a cross-functional team of backend, frontend, iOS, and Android engineers, working hand-in-hand with a Product Manager, Analyst, and Designer. Together, we deliver seamless, impactful solutions across all Wise platforms. Collaboration is at the heart of what we do—we value ownership, knowledge sharing, and a commitment to building stable, scalable systems while embracing fast-paced learning and iteration.
What does it take?
A passion for technology, product quality and user experience
The ability to work both independently and in cooperation with other teams and plan your own solutions to problems
Thinking from the customer perspective and putting them at the heart of everything you do, customer empathy drives your decisions
A frugal and flexible approach in designing experiments and proofs of concept with a strong sense of ownership for the future of the endeavours you start
Ability to clearly communicate with various people in the team: Product Managers, UX Researchers, Designers, Analysts and fellow Engineers from different platforms
3+ years of experience in building and deploying applications that delights customers
Strong proficiency in Kotlin
Familiarity with modern app architectures like Unidirectional Data Flow, Dependency Injection, Structured Concurrency with Kotlin Coroutines, amongst others
Desire to write testable code
Understanding of REST API design
Strong product mindset and passion for user experience, with a focus on prioritising work that addresses user needs and making data-driven decisions.
