Things You’ll Do

Participate in all aspects of software development including requirements analysis, task estimation and sizing, technical investigation, software design and implementation, testing, and deployment.

Work with other team members in a mostly paired-programming environment to develop quality applications.

May need to work occasional off hours/weekends to support 24x7 production systems. We have an weekly on-call rotation to keep an eye on production alerts/issues.

Implement/maintain tests and best practices to ensure the quality of software.

Create specifications and documentation to support design and development as needed

You will have opportunities to research/implement new technologies, shape the Android codebase, learn, grow, mentor, and be mentored

We have a hybrid work environment, and we try to meet in person at least once per month. We also try to do weekly lunch meetups.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience required.

5+ years professional android experience. We are looking for candidates with senior level experience who can continue to grow our mobile app and are willing to own the Android codebase.

Proficient in Android development tools such as Android Studio, Gradle, GooglePlay, etc
-
Well-rounded experience in mobile languages (Kotlin and Java). We are working towards a 100% Kotlin based application.

Proficient in managing an enterprise level applications on GooglePlay

Experience with web requests via HTTP/REST and JSON responses

Experience using concurrency and multi-threading (Ideally Coroutines)
