This scale brings unique challenges as well as tremendous opportunities for our artists and creators. What You'll Do:
  • Build and evolve ad experiences that allow millions of listeners to enjoy Spotify for free
  • Collaborate with engineers across Android, iOS, backend, and web, along with product, design, and data partners to ship impactful features
  • Write clean, maintainable code that scales across teams and products
  • Contribute to the technical direction, architecture, and best practices for Android development within Advertising
  • Improve app performance, reliability, and user experience across ad surfaces
  • Help shape reusable components and libraries that support fast, consistent development
  • Contribute to a collaborative, inclusive, and autonomous team environment
  • Who You Are:
  • You know how to write clear, idiomatic Kotlin or Java and build maintainable Android applications
  • You are experienced with modern Android frameworks and development tools
  • You have a strong understanding of Android architecture patterns and API design
  • You care about code quality, performance, and delivering polished user experiences
  • You understand how mobile applications connect with backend systems end-to-end
  • You have shipped at least one app to the Google Play Store or have a project you can walk us through
  • You value collaboration and contribute to a positive, inclusive team environment
  • You have 2+ years of experience building Android applications
  • Where You'll Be:
  • We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! For this role, you can be within the Americas region as long as we have a work location.
  • This team operates within the Eastern Standard time zone for collaboration.
  • The United States base range for this position is $107,483 –$153,547 USD, plus equity. The benefits available for this position include health insurance, six-month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, monthly meal allowance, 23 paid days off, paid flexible holidays, and paid sick leave. These ranges may be modified in the future.
