At Counterpart Health, a subsidiary of Clover, we are transforming healthcare and improving patient outcomes with our innovative primary care tool, Counterpart Assistant which was incubated by Clover Health as Clover Assistant and has helped improve plan performance and clinical outcomes for Medicare members through proprietary AI technology.
We are looking for a Analytics Platform Engineer who is well-versed in data pipelines and data warehouse. You will work closely with other Data Platform Engineers, BI Engineers, Software Engineers, ML Engineers, and Data Scientists building DWH to improve the health of real people.
As an Analytics Platform Engineer, you will:
- Develop the underlying and foundational data pipelines to support Analytics and BI engineers.
- Build transforms in both Python and SQL (BigQuery) on a daily basis to provide to our users a longitudinal view of patient health.
- Build scalable pipelines that can handle increasing amounts of data and complexity.
- Support insights into population health, clinician performance, and patient outcomes for both internal and external consumers.
- Create well structured database models that are easy to query and understand by a large number of team members.
You will love this job if:
- You love working in Healthcare and have a deep desire to leverage your code to make an impact in people’s lives.
- You understand the “dirtiness” of clinical data and seek out ways to improve its quality.
- You are excited by big, complicated problems and try to solve them with pragmatic, well-engineered solutions. You have a natural intellectual curiosity that drives you to find out how things work and if they can work better.
- You enjoy working in a fluid environment, defining and owning priorities that adapt to our larger goals. You can bring clarity to ambiguity while remaining open-minded to new information that might change your mind.
- You are not hesitant to jump in to help fix things that are broken and you feel great responsibility to make sustainable systems. You are happy to fill in the gaps to reach a goal where necessary, even if it does not always fit your job description.
You should get in touch if:
- You have been an active Analytics Platform Engineer, Data Platform Engineer, Data Engineer, or similar role for the past 4+ years.
- You have been writing Python and SQL transforms (preferably Postgres or BigQuery flavors of SQL) on a daily basis.
- You have developed pipelines for real-time and batch processing using a combination of Airflow DAGs, event-driven architecture (pubsub, Kafka, etc.), and Python-based workflows.
- Experienced working with parallelization, sharding, windowing or other strategies to handle larger sets of data.
- You’ve worked extensively with cloud hosted databases in Google or AWS clouds.
- Experience with common healthcare code sets like ICD, SNOMED, RXNORM, LOINC, etc. is preferred.
- Knowledge of HIPAA, HITRUST, or SOC2 standards is a plus.
