*Projects*
- Support two mature core SaaS products that are actively used by customers and continuously evolving.
- Contribute to a successful data product providing market insights from the supply side.
- Participate in the development and scaling of a new data product targeting the demand side, with major growth planned for H2 2025 and into 2026.

*Role and Responsibilities*
- Combine data engineering and analytics to deliver business value.
- Design, develop, and implement data pipelines for ingesting and transforming large volumes of data.
- Build scalable data models that power the core platform.
- Identify and analyze trends, and perform ad-hoc analysis to generate insights that help clients make informed decisions.

*Team Organization & Culture*
- Report to either the Product Manager or Head of Engineering (relocated from EU to Malaysia).
- Collaborate with lead/senior Data Engineers based in Kuala Lumpur and Europe.
- Join an entrepreneurial and ambitious team from Malaysia and Europe, including ex-management consultants.
- The engineering hub in Kuala Lumpur (15 staff) supports software development, data engineering, and analytics.

*Must Have*
- Proficiency in SQL and Python for data transformation, cleaning, and preparation.
- Strong analytical mindset with a passion for working with numbers and turning data into actionable insights.
- Ability to define and solve ambiguous, open-ended business problems through exploratory and analytical approaches.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

*Nice to Have*
- Experience with Pyspark, Databricks, and AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Background in consulting or a quantitative degree.

*Grade / Level*
- 100% individual contributor role.
- 4–5+ years of hands-on data experience.
- Not suitable for data analysts with experience limited to building dashboards.

*Work Arrangement*
- Hybrid work model: 3 days in office per week.
- Office located in Bangsar South / KL Gateway (close to MRT / LRT).
