Contribute to the Barclays Finance Data Hub, implementing data integration and transformation solutions using Python while engaging closely with client teams on technical design and specifications.

We are looking for a self-motivated Senior Oracle Analytics and Integration Consultant with excellent communication and customer skills. You will have experience with several end-to-end Oracle OAC, OAS, OBIEE, OBIA, ODI projects on-premises and in the cloud.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • · Progressing the Barclays Finance Data Hub, which is a data integration, transformation and analysis hub built primarily on Python:
  • o Create technical designs and specifications
  • o Defend these in Architecture reviews
  • o Build new functionality in python
  • o Adapt and fix existing functionality in Python
  • · Maintain the code base using GIT and Agile SDLC code development techniques
  • · Work with EPM Planning (primarily the Essbase Standalone Cubes) for data load, retrieve and process updates.
  • · Work with SQL to build transforms and procedures for the databases
  • · Help with Solutioning and Estimating of Projects we are proposing to Barclays
  • · Design and set-up of technical architecture
  • Must have excellent communication skills, as a lot of this role involves direct liaison with the client teams to discuss desired business functionality and communicate design options to the client’s architects
  • Must be highly competent in Python, especially building integrations and data transforms, and large, modular codesets
  • Must be competent in code and configuration management, and GIT repository management
  • Must be very experienced with Agile development techniques and processes
  • Must be familiar with EPM Planning and the underpinning Essbase engine, including data loads and API calls
  • Should have an ability to design and build with OCI, as well as having a strong understanding of OCI components & capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of integration adapters, usage of REST APIs, is important.
  • Fluency in SQL is required, including the ability to work with complex data transformations.
  • Data modelling, and the ability to design and extend warehouses is required.
  • Exhibit great technical problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or in a team-oriented manner.
