Analytical Chemist Level 2

TLDR

Analyze chemicals, conduct experiments, and ensure the integrity of analytical results while maintaining meticulous documentation within a fast-paced environment.

As an Analytical Chemist, you will analyze chemicals from various sources according to our established procedures.

What you’ll do

  • Conduct experiments to accurately characterize of products while also ensuring effective usage of resources
  • Initiate the analysis of products daily with integrity, accuracy, and efficiency within encouraged timelines
  • Build Analytical Result Records in a high quality, accurate and timely fashion
  • Interpret and report analysis results in accordance with applicable procedures while adhering to strict guidelines of documentation and reporting
  • Basic depth of analysis to interpret basic non-conformance results arising in NMR, MS, HPLC/GC, and CHN results due to bulk impurity and/or mishandling
  • Analyze data acquired and identify out-of-specification (OOS) results
  • Participate in routine maintenance and calibration of instruments
  • Good theoretical and practical knowledge of NMR and MS and analytical methodology and separation techniques
  • Proven knowledge and experience using analytical techniques and instrumentation
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication and time management
  • Very good analytical skills with high attention to detail
  • Self-starter; task oriented with ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Good at handling stress and outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor or Master of Science degree in organic chemistry, bioorganic chemistry or similar technical program with an emphasis on analytical chemistry

Pay range for this role is:

Minimum: CAD $47,000 / yearly

Maximum: CAD $50,000 / yearly

The salary range provided covers the minimum and maximum amounts projected for this role. The base salary will be influenced by factors like experience, skills, and location.
