Role:

We are building and scaling enterprise-grade Fraud and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) platforms for large financial institutions and telecom operators. These systems operate in high-volume, real-time environments, where performance, accuracy, security, and reliability are essential.

As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will contribute to the design and development of data-intensive, transaction-driven systems that support fraud detection, AML monitoring, and investigative workflows. The role involves working across backend services, data layers, and frontend applications to deliver robust, production-ready solutions used by risk, compliance, and operations teams.

You will work on complex systems that process large-scale data in real time, collaborate closely with product, data, and platform teams, and take ownership of features from design through deployment. This role is well suited for engineers who enjoy solving challenging problems, working with real-world data, and building systems that have a direct impact on risk management and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities:

Backend & System Development

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs
• Build systems that process high-volume, real-time and batch transactional data
• Ensure system performance, scalability, fault tolerance, and reliability
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across backend, data and system layers
• Optimize database queries, services and workflows for mission-critical environments
• Implement secure coding practices for handling sensitive and regulated data

Frontend Development

• Build and enhance modern data-driven frontend applications
• Develop dashboards and interfaces used for monitoring, analytics, and investigations
• Integrate frontend components with backend APIs
• Ensure frontend performance, responsiveness and robust error handling
• Apply component-based architecture and effective state management

Data & Platform Collaboration

• Work with large structured and semi-structured datasets
• Collaborate on real-time and batch processing pipelines
• Support integration with analytics, reporting and investigation platforms
• Assist in designing systems with auditability, logging and traceability

Engineering Practices & Ownership

• Write clean, maintainable and well-documented code
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions and technical decisions
• Collaborate with internal and external stake holders and operations teams to deliver end-to-end features
• Take ownership of features from design through deployment and production support

Requirements

Backend & Core Engineering

• Strong programming experience in Python / Java / PHP (Laravel)
• Solid understanding of backend architecture and system design
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills in production environments
• Experience with SQL databases and query optimization
• Familiarity with Linux environments and system-level concepts
• Experience with Git and version control workflows

Frontend (Must Have)

• Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript and modern frameworks (React preferred)
• Understanding of component-based architecture
• Experience consuming REST APIs
• Knowledge of state management (Context API, Redux, etc.)
• Understanding of frontend performance optimization and error handling

Good to Have (Data & Platform Skills)

• Experience with Apache Spark / PySpark
• Knowledge of ETL pipelines and batch processing
• Familiarity with Airflow or workflow orchestration tools
• Experience with Parquet, Delta Lake, or data lake architectures
• Exposure to streaming and messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.)
• Experience working on high-volume, mission-critical transactional systems
• Exposure to Docker, containers or cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP)
