Position Summary
The Fleet Solutions Analyst will collect, analyze, and interpret large telematics datasets to uncover actionable insights that directly impact product and fleet strategy and performance. This role will also collect, analyze, and assemble MacAllister business data to support the identification of actionable strategies and trends that will enhance business productivity and profitability. This role will be able to ask meaningful questions of the data available and identify opportunities to utilize data insights to enhance operations. This position will compile, evaluate, and distribute reports and data analysis to support dealership and customer operations. In addition, they will work closely with IT and Sales teams to execute reporting and data objectives as defined by departmental objectives.
Position Duties/Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Gathers equipment and business intelligence from a variety of sources including internal data, customer data, equipment telematics, industry, and public information.
- Analyze telematics data for equipment trends and patterns and perform predictive analysis to craft recommendations for internal business units and customers.
- Responsible for implementing and maintaining component forecasting with The Predictor and customer Fleet Analysis modules to continue growing customer reach and involvement.
- Perform data analysis to identify anomalies or process issues. Work with manager to determine steps to resolve.
- Responsible for ensuring testing and data validation occurs on reports, data pulls, and other data related projects.
- Develop data dashboards, charts, and visual aids to support decision-making across departments.
- Work with internal business teams and external partners (i.e. CAT) on ad-hoc reporting requests.
- Works closely with manager to determine department and organizational priorities for data and reporting, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
- Provide monthly internal status reports to management to include in process requests with estimated time of completion and completed requests that have been released.
- Develop and implement custom solutions using Microsoft Power Platform tools such as Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Apps.
- Effectively contact and communicate with customers, partners, and co-workers to define deliverables, timelines, and responsibilities.
- Provide detailed and documented specifications for all Fleet Solutions data requests.
- Work with DBA to define and deploy adds or changes to corporate data warehouse.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
Required:
- Associate degree in business related field (Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Administration) or equivalent years of experience
- At least 2 years of experience in business analytics
- Advanced analytical and creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
- Working knowledge of data visualization tools such as Power BI & Tableau; experience in SQL
- Experience with other Microsoft Power Platform tools such as Power Apps and Power Automate
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in business related field (Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Administration) or equivalent years of experience
- 5 years of experience in business analytics
- Coding experience with SQL Databases, ASP.NET, HTML, PHP
- 2 years of Heavy Equipment operator experience
